Date: June 25 to June 27, 2012 Sunnybrook Research Institute will be hosting an international workshop on Cardiac Tissue Characterization and Image Based Models in association with the Fields-Mitacs Summer Research School on Mathematics of Medical Imaging. This workshop aims to gather more than 100 participants actively involved in the cardiac field. Students, postdoctoral fellows, researchers, faculty and industry partners are welcome to attend. The Fields-Mitacs Summer Research School on Mathematics of Medical Imaging will be held July 3 to July 31, 2012 at the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences in Toronto. Students and postdoctoral fellows can participate in both events. The summer school program will have three weeks of lectures followed by one-week research projects. Mitacs will offer financial support towards travelling and lodging for the workshop's keynote speakers and selected students and fellows enrolled in the program.
