About our program

As the population ages, the number of Canadians living with brain-related conditions in the community and in residential care settings is increasing. Our Brain Sciences program expands upon our understanding and management of these disorders of the brain and mind. Our program brings together teams within medicine as well as interdisciplinary health professionals in clinical care, research and teaching.

Providing comprehensive care across the continuum — from prevention, acute intervention, long-term management, outreach and linkages to community providers — our program's three major themes are among the greatest public health challenges of the coming generation:
