Nursing students

Each year, Sunnybrook facilitates over 900 nursing student placements and learner observations. Students are enrolled in academic programs from local, national and international programs including; RPN diploma; BScN; MN; PhD; internationally educated nursing programs; and a variety of specialty certificate courses. We also provide learning experiences for health professionals from other organizations and countries. As tertiary care centre, we are able to offer a wide variety of experiences to meet the core basic and advanced curriculum needs of our learners. Sunnybrook is an active member of the GTA consortium of schools and institutions and a Health Sciences Placement Network (HSPnet) member. We have many nursing staff who hold clinical appointments and/or participate on academic committees at our partner institutions.
