Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre
Referrals Notice Update 12/19/16
Due to the response of the community, we are working towards accepting referrals for hoarding and body dysmorphic disorder without geographic restriction. Please continue to check our website for updates as acceptance of these referrals will depend on our ability to take on new patients. Please note that this will fluctuate based on the level of incoming referrals we receive.
In order to be eligible for the services offered at the Thompson Centre, you must meet the following three requirements:
- You are over the age of 18
- You live within our catchment area: Bathurst (West), Sheppard (North), DVP (East) and St. Clair (South), please click here to see our catchment area.
- You have a primary diagnosis of OCD or related disorders such as hoarding, hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking and body dysmorphic disorder.
If you do not fulfill all of the requirements above, you will not be able to access our services. However, if you are unable to access our services, we encourage you to visit our Patient Resources page which will provide helpful information on OCD and related “spectrum disorders” as well as provide options of community programs that are accessible across the GTA.
If you are searching for treatment for anyone under the age of 18, please visit the Psychiatric Youth Division at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Individuals with other primary anxiety disorders should be referred to the Mood and Anxiety Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
