The Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre offers specific expertise treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related "spectrum" disorders, including hoarding, hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking and body dysmorphic disorders for anyone over the age of 18. Referrals Notice Update

The Fredrick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorder Centre will begin to accept new referrals on November 7, 2016 at 9:00am. Prior to submitting a referral, please check our eligibility criteria below. Please click here to submit a referral to the Thompson Centre.


In order to be eligible for the services offered at the Thompson Centre, you must meet the following three requirements:

If you do not fulfill all of the requirements above, you will not be able to access our services. However, if you are unable to access our services, we encourage you to visit our Patient Resources page which will provide helpful information on OCD and related “spectrum disorders” as well as provide options of community programs that are accessible across the GTA.

If you are searching for treatment for anyone under the age of 18, please visit the Psychiatric Youth Division at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Individuals with other primary anxiety disorders should be referred to the Mood and Anxiety Program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
