About gastrointestinal cancer care

We are one of the largest programs in Canada to focus on the care of patients diagnosed with (or suspected of having) malignancies of the esophagus, stomach, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas and carcinoid tumours (as well as other rare cancers of the gastrointestinal tract).

We specialize and lead in: 
  • Treatment of recurrent colorectal cancer, hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancer and Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), neuroendocrine and carcinoid tumors
  • Newly diagnosed and recurrent colorectal cancer and gastric, pancreatic and liver cancers
  • Radiation therapy treatment for rectal cancers
  • Research in the optimal use of tomotherapy for the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies
