About cancer prevention and detection

Our primary focus is the early detection and prevention of cancer. Our team works in partnership with the community in the development, implementation and evaluation of events, new resources and programs.

How we lead

• Smoke-free policy: we play an active role in the smoke-free planning group and a lead role in Sunnybrook's smoke-free status

• Colorectal cancer screening: we assist in leading a hospital staff initiative to increase awareness about colorectal cancer screening
• GTA colorectal health network: we've played a leadership role in establishing a mandate to increase knowledge related to colorectal health, screening and other related initiatives for the GTA community
