Orthotic services

We work to improve your mobility, function and independence. Our patients have long-term bracing needs for conditions like cerebral palsy, stroke/CVA, diabetic complications, drop foot, scoliosis, or peripheral nerve injuries.

Our orthotics patients are seen in a multi-disciplinary clinic that includes a physiatrist, a certified orthotist and a physiotherapist. Together they give you a full assessment and decide on the best course of treatment for you.

About our orthotics

To create custom braces, we have partnered with an orthotic braces producer with over 30 years of experience. Working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team, they produce tailored braces for all types of needs:

  • Feet and ankles
  • Knees
  • Wrists and hands
  • Spine

Some patients can be treated with a specialized off-the-shelf device. In these cases, we can provide access to high-end products that are otherwise difficult to find.

Funding

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care only offers partial coverage for orthotic devices through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP). The remaining cost of your device is your responsibility. Get funding details and information about available support.

Becoming a patient

If you need a new orthotic device or want to replace an existing one, we are happy to help.

To be receive orthotics services we require a referral from a physician.
