Orthotic services (bracing)
We assess and fit custom devices those in need of upper or lower limb orthoses (bracing) and spinal orthotics (braces) that support, strengthen and/or stabilize for improved independent function.
Our health-care team includes a physiatrist (doctor with focus in rehabilitation medicine), a physiotherapist and certified orthotists. We have years of experience treating adults and children with a wide variety of congenital or acquired conditions. When recommending orthoses (braces), we consider your comfort, functional ability, functional needs and appearance. Special care is taken to provide you with the most appropriate device to meet your needs.
Please note: there is a cost for your orthotic device. The cost for orthotics is governed by Ontario's Assistive Devices Program (ADP). Some or all of your device may be funded from a variety of sources. Our on-site funding advisor will discuss these options with you during your visit.
