As part of the Florence Winberg Education Series, the Odette Cancer Centre partnered with the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada for an evening of learning for patients and families touched by colorectal cancer.

» Programs & services for patients, families & caregivers

Filomena Servidio-Italiano, Director of Education for the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada, discussed free programs and services open to patients, families and caregivers.

» New method of delivering chemotherapy to the liver 

Dr. Paul Karanicolas and Dr. Yoo-Joung Ko presented on a new treatment that will help patients by delivering chemotherapy directly to the liver.

» Eating well before, during & after treatment

Registered Dietitian Pauline Wisdom-Gilliam shared helpful nutrition tips for colorectal patients on what to eat before, during and after treatment.

» Natural health products & cancer treatment

Dr. Mark Pasetka, a Pharmacist with the Odette Cancer Centre, presented on the safety and how effective some vitamin supplements, natural and herbal products are during cancer treatment.
