Sudden hearing loss clinic

Sudden hearing loss is an otologic emergency, and as a nationally and internationally renowned centre of excellence, we strive to advocate and treat patients with this condition in a timely fashion. Since the therapeutic window is narrow, immediate treatment is paramount for potential hearing recovery. For this reason, we continually monitor referrals for patients with this condition.

We accept direct referrals from colleague otolaryngologists, emergency room physicians and family physicians.

If you suspect you may have this condition, please have your health care professional evaluate your condition urgently to make a referral to our clinic, with the suspected diagnosis of sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) clearly indicated.
