Fundraising Areas

The Volunteer Association runs a number of retail and service operations that raise money to support the hospital’s patient care objectives. Each of these fundraising areas is staffed by Sunnybrook volunteers who are invaluable in making the Association’s fundraising efforts successful and profitable.

Gift ShopThe Association operates the Gift Shop located on M1 near the main entrance to the hospital. The Gift Shop has a professional manager and assistant manager and is staffed by volunteers. The shop sells a variety of items including stationary items, giftware, baby clothes, flower arrangements, toys, CDs, lingerie, toiletries and confectionary items.  There are fresh flowers and plants available daily. Hours of operation are: Monday to Thursday 9:30 am to 8:00 pm, Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Active volunteers are eligible for a 10% discount by showing their Sunnybrook ID badge.  The Gift Shop is a major contributor to the Association’s fundraising efforts, accounting for almost 75% of money raised.
