Education exchange between health service partners
Beyond the education of individuals (students, patients, practicing providers and others), Sunnybrook is proud to share our more system and process level innovations. Each year we welcome other health care partners to come and learn about our innovations in areas such as patient flow, models of care, use of technology and educational approaches. Visiting groups come and learn not only from local organizations but also from across Canada and beyond our national borders.
These are stimulating and exciting events, often lasting two to three days. In recognition that in the process of education we are all learners and we are all teachers, these visits also represent important learning opportunities as well for Sunnybrook.
At the Sunnybrook Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre, each year we receive frequent requests from health care teams interested in learning more about our unique interprofessional model of care.
