Organizational development workshops

Sunnybrook organizational development offers an array of workshops to develop soft skills, work effectiveness and to promote health and resiliency among staff.

Workshop topics include communication and listening skills, conflict resolution, developing assertiveness, giving and receiving feedback, MBTI, project management and quality improvement. Our many workshops fall under four pathways of learning which include:

  1. Being an effective communicator
  2. Understanding and responding to conflict
  3. Creating an effective workplace
  4. Career development and life planning.

We have also designed several workshops that support staff in meeting the expectations of Sunnybrook's corporate effectiveness initiatives, for example: the RESPECT program, the customer experience program and the senior-friendly culture program. In addition, we also offer workshops that support governmental policies like Bill 168.

We also hold a series of skill-building workshops for internationally-educated Sunnybrook staff.

Last but not least, Sunnybrook has made a commitment to supporting staff health and wellness with our popular series of sessions delivered in partnership with Wellspring and Homewood. Session topics include: stress reduction, building resiliency, increasing memory and mental capacity, yoga, meditation, increasing health by writing your personal story, relationship building and how to care for elderly parents.

Organizational development greatly values staff input. We pay close attention to feedback commentary and workshop evaluations in order to inform our workshop offerings every year.
