Clinical Trials
Introduction
Also called cancer treatment studies or research studies, clinical trials are used to test how well new treatments work in people with cancer. These test treatments can include new drugs, new approaches to surgery and radiation therapy, new combinations of treatments, or new methods such as gene therapy. The goal of this research is to continue to find better ways to treat cancer and to help cancer patients.
