Holland Centre access during the Pride Toronto festival

June 27, 2016

The area immediately surrounding Sunnybrook’s Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre (Holland Centre) at 43 Wellesley Street East will be the site of the Pride Toronto festival during the weekend of July 2-3.

Wellesley Street will be completely closed starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 1. It will be closed the whole weekend until 6 a.m. on Monday, July 4.

Large crowds are expected. Pedestrian and car traffic will be very crowded with many road closures in the neighbourhood.

The municipal parking lot across the Wellesley Subway Station will be closed as of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, June 30. It will not be accessible for parking until 6 a.m. on Monday July 4. The underground parking lot just south of Wellesley St. E., accessible via Church Street, will only be available for parking until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 1. All cars must exit the parking lot by 6 p.m.

Visitors to the Holland Centre on Friday, Saturday or Sunday should consider using public transit.

All visitors will need to sign in at the Security Desk before they are able to access the building.

During this event, hospital staff will be particularly careful in monitoring access to the building, and will do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to our patients.

Thank you.
