Holland Centre traffic notice: Oct 31

Hallowe’en Festival Street Closure near Holland Centre: from Monday October 31 at 6 p.m. to Tuesday November 1 at 2 a.m.

If you are visiting the Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre at 43 Wellesley Street East, please allow for extra time to get there.

Church Street (from Gloucester to Wood Street) will be closed to vehicular traffic for the Church-Wellesley Village Business Improvement Area (BIA) Hallowe’en Festival.

  • Special accommodations will be made for local traffic on Dundonald and Monteith Streets.
  • Church Street will be closed from Wood Street (north side) to Gloucester Street (south side).
  • Wood Street will be open to vehicular traffic.
  • Wellesley Street will be closed from 150 feet east of Church Street, to the alleyway, to 150 feet west of Church Street.
  • There will be a soft closure (local traffic only) on Wellesley Street from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street. This means there will be access to the Holland Centre from Yonge Street only for the duration of the street closure.
  • Getting across Church Street from Jarvis after 6:30 pm on Monday may be challenging due to the large volume of people at the event.
  • Maitland Street will be closed from 150 feet east of Church Street to 150 feet west of Church Street (alleyways will remain accessible).
  • Dundonald Street and Monteith Street will be closed at Church Street.
  • All closures will re-open to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, November 1st at 2 a.m.
