Traumatic brain injury: drug study

Tranexamic acid aka TXA

A medication used to stablize bleeding in any part of the body after trauma.

The study & how it works

  1. Patient has severe head trauma
  2. Paramedic or trauma centre gives patient TXA or a placebo
  3. All patients recieve standard trauma care
  4. Researchers compare the results
