Holland Centre traffic notice: Dec. 10-11

December 7, 2016

If you are visiting the Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre at 43 Wellesley Street East this weekend, please allow for extra time to get there.

Due to installation of the tower crane at 50 Wellesley Street East (across from the Holland Centre), Wellesley Street East will be closed to traffic from Yonge to Church Streets, but local traffic will be allowed to enter the Centre’s front drop-off loop:

  • from Yonge Street, vehicles can access the drop-off loop
  • vehicles will be allowed to exit westbound only/towards Yonge Street

The north side of Wellesley Street, in front of 50 Wellesley Street East, will be closed to pedestrians.

From the northwest, pedestrians will be able to cross to the south side of Wellesley, at the traffic lights at Yonge Street.

From the northeast, pedestrians will be able to cross to the south side of Wellesley at either:

  • the traffic lights at Church Street
  • the pedestrian crossing that is just west of the intersection of Wellesley and Church Streets and nearer to the Holland Centre/in front of the Paul Kane Parkette.

TTC: The 94 Wellesley bus will be on diversion, as they will not pass the work zone.

Access to the subway will remain open to pedestrians.

Permits for this closure have been issued to Plaza, the builder by the City of Toronto Transportation Services.
