At Home Newsletter - July 2009

The July issue of the At Home newsletter features technology in the Veterans Centre. Learn how one Sunnybrook Veteran stays connected with family and friends through photography and sharing pictures online. In May, the Canadian Rangers visited Veterans and held a special event in honour of Sunnybrook Veterans. Sunnybrook and The Fort York Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion team up to launch the Veterans' Memorial Chair Project. Recognize a family member or friend or commemorate a loved one who has passed on. Sunnybrook invests $3 million to renovate veterans' facility and improve dementia care. Plus a volunteer profile of Bob Mansfield and much more.

At Home Newsletter - February 2009

The February issue of At Home features the creative arts therapies: art, music and horticultural therapy at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre. Last fall the hospital paid tribute and thanked its veterans with the unveiling of the new Veterans Honour Wall. Through the generous support of the Royal Canadian Legion, the physiotherapy gym on the ground floor of Kilgour wing has undergone a magnificent renovation. The new environment and new equipment will specialize in stroke care. The late Duncan Graham in memory, along with highlights from Remembrance Day 2008. A new book called A Man Called Hal, features Squadron Leader Harold Gooding, a veteran of Sunnybrook's Kilgour wing is now available in the Artisan giftshop.
