Dr. Michael Bronskill

Fellow, American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM)

This award by nomination recognizes members of AAPM who have contributed substantially to the advancement of medical physics knowledge, to education in medical physics, to leadership in practising medical physics or to service to the AAPM. Dr. Michael Bronskill is a senior scientist in imaging research at SRI.

Dr. Robert Kerbel

Robert L. Noble Prize, National Cancer Institute of Canada

This annual award acknowledges outstanding achievement in cancer research. Senior scientist Dr. Robert Kerbel was heralded for his discoveries in tumour angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), antiangiogenic therapy and drug resistance.

Dr. Michael Schull

Young Investigator Award, Society for Academic Emergency Medicine

This award is given to emergency physicians and scientists who show distinction in research in emergency medicine. Dr. Michael Schull was recognized for his accomplishments as a health services researcher studying emergency department overcrowding, and for his humanitarian work. Schull is an emergency department doctor and a scientist in clinical epidemiology.
