We use your existing protocol for established conditions.
We develop or optimize new assays for new genotyping submissions.
All polymerase chain reactions (PCRs) require the following:
primers;
your reference protocol; and
positive control.
Sample submissions
We prefer tail snips and ear punches as samples for genotyping. However, we also accept other tissue types such as brain, embryo and liver, upon your request.
Samples should be collected, labeled properly and kept at -20˚C prior to pick up.
Please submit your samples with our requisition form (PDF, 56 KB).
Contact us to arrange for pick-up or shipping at genotype@sri.utoronto.ca or 416-480-6100 ext. 67096.
Report results
PCR results will be reported within three to seven days, depending on the number of samples.
Results for new PCR may require additional time due to optimization.
Billing
Charges will vary based on number of the tests. Please contact us at genotype@sri.utoronto.ca or 416-480-6100 ext. 67096, for more information.
