Contracts and Agreements

How do I know when a contract or agreement is required for a research study?

Generally, a contract/research agreement is required if resources or funds (i.e., study supplies, equipment, money) will be received from sources external to Sunnybrook.

Also, if any information (i.e., data including video and audio) or biological materials (e.g., blood, other bodily fluids, and tissues) will be sent outside of the institution where it was collected and/or will be received by Sunnybrook, an agreement related to the transfer (i.e., material transfer agreement, data transfer agreement/information sharing agreement, service provider agreement, vendor agreement) is required.

Please send all contracts and agreements to Terrie Banks at terrie.banks@sunnybrook.ca. For more information on contracts and agreements, refer to the pages on research contracts and Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) policies on the Sunnybrook intranet.
