Research grants

The following lists the grants held by members of the Primary Care Research Unit. Grants have come through the Primary Care Research Unit from such granting organizations as, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Physicians’ Services Incorporated (PSI), HEALNet, and the SAMCOR trust to name but a few.

It is of interest to note that resident research projects have received funding from Physicians’ Services Incorporated; this is an opportunity that had not been exercised by residents doing their research projects in family practice. Drs. Shawn Whatley, Lance Ceresne, Lorna Teape-Humphrey, Darshini Persaude and Raquel Adelstein all receive money from the Physicians Services Incorporated fund to conduct research.
