Research Summary:

Samira has been working with a novel mammalian model for the transmission of influenza virus.  She has used the guinea pig model to examine modes of transmission and to characterize infectious bioaerosols.  She is currently exploring the role of Staphylococcus aureus in influenza virus transmission, and is interested in the co-pathogenesis between these two pathogens.
