Research Foci:
- Angiogenesis
- Lymphangiogenesis
- Vascular Inflammation
Research Summary:
Dr. Dumont is conducting research on how signalling in endothelial and inflammatory cells controls vascular inflammation, angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis. Signals on a molecular level tell genes when to turn on and off, thus controlling the response of the vascular bed to different stimuli. Understanding how these signals control the vascular response should provide insight into the control of inflammation, tumour growth and progression.
