Held in the PEARL (Patient Education and Research Learning Centre), located at the Odette Cancer Centre - first floor beside main reception.

Lymphedema is an abnormal swelling that is caused by a build up of lymph fluid in the body's tissues. Cancer surgery or radiation therapy may sometimes lead to lymphedema. This group-based patient education session provides an overview of lymphedema, its signs and symptoms, tips for reducing the risk of developing lymphedema, and strategies for managing the condition. 

This event is open to all Odette cancer patients that have had surgery to remove cancer and/or lymph nodes, have undergone radiation therapy, or would like to learn more about lymphedema.
