Research study: Improving person centered care and symptom management for persons with head and neck cancer

Sunnybrook is seeking two patient partners to participate on a research team conducting a study to inform the delivery of Person-Centred Care for people with head and neck cancer. No research knowledge or experience is required.

Partner role on the research team:

  • Help to plan and run focus groups with other patients and caregivers
  • Help staff determine most important points to relay in person-centred care training for staff
  • Help to develop and facilitate person-centred care workshops for staff
  • Help to inform a series of videos to educate staff on patients’ care and journey

Commitment:

Approximately 2 hours/month for meetings. Duration of study TBD (up to 1 year).

Participant parking or TTC fare will be reimbursed.
