Join The President’s Environmental Sustainability & Greening Taskforce
The President’s Environmental Sustainability & Greening Taskforce was created to develop a culture of sustainability at Sunnybrook. The Taskforce will be focusing on implementing sustainable clinical practices, enhancing our physical environment, and reducing waste.
Role:
- The 2 Community Members on the Taskforce will provide guidance and feedback on how Sunnybrook integrates Sustainability into our processes
- The Community Members will review relevant materials before each monthly meeting and contribute to meeting discussions from the participant perspective
- A Community Member is someone who lives in the community that Sunnybrook serves, and / or is a current/past patient, or a family member/caregiver of a patient
- Commitment and engagement in environmental issues is required. Experiences in environmental studies, engineering, health care etc. is NOT required
Commitment
- This is a volunteer position
- Agree to a one year term (with the possibility of renewal)
- Attend monthly Taskforce, and/or Working Group meetings (meetings are currently via zoom), beginning in October 2022
- Provide input and take part in discussions during meetings
- Be comfortable reviewing electronic documents and able to participate in Zoom meetings
- Time commitment is about 3 hours a month
