WSIB Services

Since 1989, Sunnybrook has been providing assessment and treatment services to Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), helping to manage recovery and safe return to work and function of injured workers across various industries. Sunnybrook’s WSIB Specialty Programs span across all 3 campuses and include:

  • Back and neck
  • Lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle, foot)
  • Upper extremity (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand)
  • Occupational Health & Safety (OHAP)
  • Other specialty programs include Amputee, Prosthetics & Orthopaedic Shoe and Burn

We provide:

  • Quick access to services
  • Access to a team of clinical experts including physicians, surgeon specialists, psychologists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists
  • Multidisciplinary assessment to determine diagnosis, prognosis, function and limitations and/or restrictions for return to function and work, including referral to additional diagnostic testing and specialty consultations where appropriate
  • Treatment programs tailored to each injured worker’s recovery and return to work needs, including psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and work conditioning
  • Referral to additional diagnostic testing and specialty consultations where appropriate
  • Return to work recommendations integrated through the various stages of recovery
