Hospital Medicine is an exciting specialty that is growing by leaps and bounds in North America. While this field of medicine has been in existence for nearly a decade, very few training programs exist to teach the specific skills set required to be an exemplary hospitalist.

The Department of Medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is proud to offer a one-year fellowship in Hospital Medicine. This opportunity is one of only a few in existence in North America and the first in Canada. Hospitalist fellows spend their time on an acute care medicine ward caring for patients with a variety of common and uncommon disorders. During training, fellows also learn the art of medical consultation, how to facilitate patient transitions of care and how to participate in hospital administration. Fellows who successfully complete the year are in a strategic position to become leaders in Hospital Medicine.

Join us and become involved in this innovative and stimulating new medical specialty!
