Speech language pathologists

Welcome to the speech-language pathology education pages. In total there are 12.1 FTE clinical positions within the speech-language pathology service representing 14 individuals in the roles of speech-language pathologist and communicative disorders assistant. We have a commitment to clinical education and are linked closely to the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.

Sunnybrook is organized in a program management model. The Professional Leader for Speech-Language Pathology is Nancy Neale (416-480-4784). Speech-language pathologists work with adults in five Sunnybrook programs. Clinical settings encompass the continuum of healthcare from acute to chronic care. Patients and residents are seen by SLPs and CDA as inpatients and there are also two outpatient programs. This offers our learners a range of opportunities not readily available at other institutions.
