Postdoctoral fellow, Sunnybrook Research Institute

Status: Full time

Start date: January/February 2022

The Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow to work on several research projects related to neuromodulation in preclinical models of neuropsychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications (important requisites)

  • Be familiar with behavioural tasks and practical aspects of rodent behaviour
  • Conduct stereotactic procedures in rodents
  • Conduct neurochemical and immunohistochemistry experiments
  • Conduct optogenetics and chemogenetics experiments
  • Be fairly independent and conduct research in collaboration with other team members
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
