Patient Administrative Associate - Birthing Unit - Regular Part-time (214405)

We currently have a Regular Part-Time opportunity for a Patient Administraive Associate on theBirthing Unit at our Bayview campus.

Hours of Work:

Alternating Weekends: Nights; 8 hrs; As per schedule.

Statutory Holidays required

Summary of Duties

The PAA is responsible for co-ordination of patient flow and patient activities; administrative services for patient care unit; maintenance of patient records, staffing, scheduling, payroll and administrative support to patient care unit.

Qualifications/Skills

  • One year of Community College - Medical Terminology course preferred
  • One year of Administrative/Business experience in health care setting required
  • Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care/Customer Service behaviour
  • Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows
  • Keyboarding at 40 w.p.m with maximum 5% error rate
  • Ability to organize work effectively, and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
