Future Opportunities - Physiotherapist

The Physiotherapist will provide:

  • Patient Assessment and intervention, including recommendations for follow-up as required [i.e. Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources]
  • Expert Physiotherapy resource for staff, students, and other health care providers
  • Contributor/active member of the multi-professional health care team
  • Participation in appropriate committees pertaining to the operation of the Unit
  • Active participation in discipline-specific activities of Physiotherapy, including the provision of clinical  and educational in services within Physiotherapy Services
  • Supervision of Physiotherapy students on a regular basis
  • Ongoing involvement in research activities, and use of outcome measures related to the Patient Services Unit and the client population served


  • Successful completion of a post-secondary degree from an accredited physical therapy program or equivalent education as recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. 
  • Member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association - preferred
  • One year of related clinical experience preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in the practice of evidence-based physiotherapy with knowledge of appropriate outcome measures. 
  • Demonstrated professional judgment and interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, their families, other health care team members and the community. 
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
