Pharmacist- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit- Casual  (192796)

We currently have a casual vacancy for a Pharmacist in the Neonatal Intensive Car Unit at our Bayview Campus.

Summary of Duties

· Participates in daily multi-disciplinary care rounds in Neonatal Intensive Care unit

· Conducts evidence-based clinical practice reviews and participates in multi-disciplinary committees

· Implements clinical research and educational programs for clinicians, Pharm D candidates and pharmacy residents

· Provides mentorship and supervision to Pharmacy Technicians in NICU Satellite Pharmacy

· Participates in neonatal interprofessional education and research programs and interdisciplinary neonatal care team committees

Qualifications/Skills

  • D or MSc with residency or equivalent and a current license in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
  • Recent related hospital clinical care experience required; critical care Neonatal experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the multi-disciplinary management of patients, with knowledge of neonatal therapeutics and clinical pharmacokinetics an asset
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the critical appraisal of clinical literature and evidence-based design and implementation of clinical research preferred
  • Demonstrated effective initiative, team work and collaboration in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
