Dental Receptionist /Coordinator– Hospital Clinic (061521)

The Department of Dentistry at Sunnybrook is seeking a motivated, task oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. We are a multi-doctor (generalist and specialist) practice and an academic centre providing educational experiences for a variety of undergraduate and post-graduate students.

Qualifications include:

  • Dental Office Experience with a minimum of 2 years recent consecutive front desk experience
  • Diploma from a recognized office administration program an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to work co-operatively with all members of the team
  • Proficiency working with ABEL Dent or similar dental software
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)

Duties include:

  • general reception
  • triage referrals, schedule consultations and appointments
  • communicate with referring doctors’ offices, patients and pharmacies
  • respond to all telephone and email inquiries in a timely fashion
  • print, mail and file dictated reports
  • confirm patients,
  • error-free billing of patients and third parties
  • day end/month end financial reports
  • maintenance of department statistics and other reports
  • other duties as assigned.

We offer competitive compensation based on experience, with a generous health and dental benefits package and membership in our pension plan. Hours are Monday to Friday with staggered start times of 8-4, 830-430 and 9-5, depending on daily assignment.
