Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (SBNICU2023)

Toronto, ON, CA Posted: 1/25/2023 4:17:32 PM

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is proud to be part of Sunnybrook’s DAN Women & Babies Program. The Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Unit opened in 1981 as the first of its kind in Canada. It is still one of the largest perinatal and gynaecological programs in Canada. The program cares for patients experiencing both high and low risk pregnancies and offers specialty pregnancy clinics including those focusing on multiple births, pregnancy after loss, intrauterine growth restriction, endocrine disorders and patients with accessibility challenges.

Sunnybrook currently delivers over 4000 babies every year, and, of those, approximately 800 will be admitted to the Level III NICU. Our specialized, interdisciplinary team offers the highest level of care, with a particular focus on the management of the smallest and sickest babies in the province. A strong family-centred care approach encourages the families of our babies to partner with our staff in their baby’s care. Our commitment to ongoing research and quality improvement makes us an international leader in neonatal care

We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our team in the NICU. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic and specialized critical care area, using state of the art technology and employing evidence based practices to care for premature and sick babies. We offer a supportive learning environment that encourages our staff to be engaged in their own growth and continue to advance their skills and knowledge. We recognize that our staff, as well as our babies and families, come from diverse backgrounds with unique perspectives and needs. We welcome you and look forward to your meaningful contribution to the care of our babies today and into the future.

Be A Part of Our NICU Team Today!
