Registered Nurse - Veterans Centre K2W - Temporary Part-time (until approx. January 2022) (203339)

We currently have a Temporary Part-Time (until approx. January 2022) opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Veterans Centre – K2W department in our Bayview campus.

Hours of Work:

Weekdays: Nights; 8 hrs; As per schedule

Alternating Weekends, Nights; 8 hrs, As per schedule

Statutory Holidays required

Summary of Duties

The RN is responsible for the total care of a group of residents within a primary nursing care delivery model. The RN supports the Philosophy of Patient-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Current Ontario Registration
  • Current B.C.L.S.
  • Patient and family focused care philosophy required
  • Previous experience working in a Geriatric setting
  • Ability to function in an interdisciplinary setting as a primary nurse
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent assessment skills
  • Team-player
  • Computer skills required
  • Demonstrated commitment to person centred care approach and principles
