Kenneth Shulman Kenneth Shulman is Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto. Until 2014, he was Chief of the Hurvitz Brain Sciences program at Sunnybrook which facilitates the development of interdisciplinary services, research and education for disorders of the brain and mind.

Speakers

Dr. AubertDr. Isabelle Aubert, Head of Sunnybrook’s Brain Repair Group at the Sunnybrook Research Institute and Canada Research Chair in Brain Repair and Regeneration, will share how her research is developing therapies to stop degeneration and promote regeneration for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Sandra Black Dr. Sandra Black, Director, Hurvitz Brain Sciences Research Program, is an internationally recognized cognitive and stroke neurologist and a leading clinical trialist in dementia. She is now the director of a new Sunnybrook research centre focused on investigating brain resilience and uncovering new ways to combat Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Dr. Hynynen Dr. Kullervo Hynynen, Vice-President, Research and Innovation is the head of Sunnybrook Research Institute, one of the largest research centres in Canada. Dr. Hynynen is a world-leader in Focused Ultrasound research and is currently developing a new focused ultrasound device that will treat brain disorders as never before.
