Congestive Heart Failure

Overview

  • Heart does not pump effectively therefore the rest of the body's organs do not get the amount of blood and oxygen needed to function properly
  • Weakened heart can not handle it's normal circulation (workload), resulting in:
    • swollen ankles or legs
    • bloating or feeling full all of the time
    • In worst cases, fluid in the lungs (or congestion)
