Cardiac Catheterization

What is It?

  • Provides vital information about heart function and coronary arteries
  • Doctors, nurses and lab staff are experienced and highly trained and they make every effort to ensure your procedure runs as smoothly as possible
  • Usually takes less than an hour to perform.
  • Feeling anxious is a normal reaction and for this reason you will be given a mild sedative before you go for the test
  • If you have any questions or concerns, please let our staff know at anytime
  • There is no need for a general anesthetic and you will be awake so you can tell the staff if you are having any discomfort or angina
  • Most patients find the procedure painless
