April 27, 2011

On Sunday May 1 construction work in the M-Wing Atrium will begin. The work will start with the installation of scaffolding suspended at the M6 level. The scaffolding is required for renovations on M6 and M7.

Nightly closures will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday to Friday and will run through to Friday May 20.

During the period of nightly closures:

  • Access through the Atrium on level M1 will be closed to staff, patients and visitors.
  • The interconnecting stair between levels MG and M1 will be closed.

Please note that elevator access is not affected, nor is access to Second Cup.

Signage will be posted to redirect staff, patients and visitors as required.

This information is consistent with the discussions Corporate Planning & Development has been having with affected staff members over the last few weeks.
