Celebrating Nursing Week

May 7, 2012

May 7 to 11 marks National Nursing Week, and provides the opportunity for all of us to celebrate Canadian nurses. The theme of this year's Nursing Week, "The Health of our Nation", is particularly well suited to nurses here at Sunnybrook.

Nurses are there to assess, to monitor, and to provide interventions and treatments. They comfort, console, and guide patients through some of life's most difficult experiences.

Our nurses are improving the health of our nation with contributions at local, national and international levels. Nurses dedicate themselves to delivering the best patient care possible, and to constantly upgrading their skills. They truly are the hub of the healthcare team. To learn more about how our nurses are positively impacting the patient experience at Sunnybrook, watch the video below:

To our nurses: thank you for the compassionate and innovative care you continue to bring to your work, and to the lives of the many people you touch.

Happy Nursing Week!
