Traffic and construction notice for Bayview Ave

July 10, 2015

Update: Starting Monday, July 20, there will be two lanes open to traffic north and south on Bayview Avenue. Any further lane restrictions will take place on weekends only.

Beginning on Monday, July 13, 2015, Bayview Avenue north of Lawrence Avenue to York Mills Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction to accommodate roadway reconstruction. The lane reductions are expected to continue for four weeks and cause significant traffic impacts on Bayview from Highway 401 down to Eglinton.

The City of Toronto has agreed to Sunnybrook's request that traffic signal cycle times at the Bayview Campus’ north and south entrances should be increased to allow for better traffic outflow during this project. The City further agreed to extend the
se signal adjustments for traffic moving northbound and southbound on Bayview Ave., Mt. Pleasant Rd., and Yonge St. from Hwy. 401 to Eglinton Ave.

Please keep this increased construction activity and anticipated heavier traffic in mind when planning travel to, and from, the hospital.
