Chicken recall notice

October 4, 2019

Sunnybrook has been made aware that chicken from one of our suppliers has been recalled due to Listeria monocytogenes (Listeria) contamination.

Between July 1 and September 30, 2019, patients and residents at Sunnybrook’s Bayview and Holland Centre campuses were served chicken salad sandwiches that were made using this product, which we have since removed from circulation. Chicken shawarma served by the Druxy’s located in T-wing during this time period is also affected by this recall notice.

Please note that this chicken product was not served through any of our cafeterias or catering services.

What are the symptoms of Listeria infection?
