Restricted Access to Life Saving Drive at the Bayview Campus

December 14, 2022

To repair a significant underground obstacle on our roadway, we will be restricting the amount of traffic along Life Saving Drive from Friday, December 16 until Friday, January 13, 24/7 (including weekends).

Life Saving Drive is the road running at the back of the hospital west – east, in between A, B, C, D, E, F, J, S, Creche, and U wings.

EXCEPTION:

The following will be allowed to use Life Saving Drive when entering the campus (between A Wing, S Wing, and T Wing):

  • Ambulances going to the Emergency Department
  • Emergency Department patient drop-off
  • T Wing patient drop-off

However, this will be for one-way traffic only; thus all traffic must travel eastbound along Life Saving Drive around the campus to 'leave', using Veterans Hill Trail to Raab Boulevard or Armistice Drive, including:

  • Ambulances leaving the Emergency Department
  • Emergency Department traffic leaving after drop-off
  • T Wing traffic leaving after drop-off

Contractor flagmen and Sunnybrook Parking Services will be onsite to assist with directing traffic during the day.

Thank you for your patience with these construction delays.
