A gift of tulips for Sunnybrook veterans

May 1, 2020

Next week, we recognize the 75th anniversary of three historic events:

Unfortunately, commemorative ceremonies have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that won’t stop us from finding ways to honour the men and women who sacrificed so much during the Second World War.

On April 30, Sunnybrook's Veterans Centre received a special gift of 40 tulip bouquets from the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Toronto. Consul General Anne Le Guellec extended her heartfelt thanks to Canada's veterans for the important role they played in liberating the Netherlands. Watch a CTV piece about this special gift »
