Veterans Program spotlight: Nursing teams

This pandemic tested core nursing principals in tough situations – autonomy, critical thinking and advocacy. 

Nursing in the Veterans Program faced head on the hardships of maintaining life quality for patients/residents in the face of significant restrictions.

Through it all, nurses endured; as frontline advocates, they provided compassion and comfort for Veterans, for dying patients, and for families, going beyond the call of duty to ensure every resident/patient’s needs were met and quality of life was maintained throughout the pandemic.
