INOVAIT Canada, the country’s image-guided therapy (IGT) network hosted by Sunnybrook Research Institute, just released its first progress report: “2020-2023 Canada’s Image-Guided Therapy Sector: Supported by INOVAIT, Growing with Artificial Intelligence.” The new publication highlights the ongoing advancements and technologies that are transforming Canada’s IGT and health care sectors.
 
Monday, August 26, 2024  Sunnybrook-led multicentre trial finds tranexamic acid increases postoperative complications in patients undergoing liver resection
Findings of the HeLiX Randomized Clinical Trial demonstrate that among patients undergoing liver resection for a cancer-related indication, tranexamic acid did not reduce bleeding or blood transfusion but increased perioperative complications.
