A case for getting enough shut-eye

Dr. Andrew Lim, a scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Research Program, comments on the importance of uninterrupted sleep for brain health. Brain waste is cleared out during sleep, which helps us perform activities requiring concentration and decision-making, says Lim, in an article on professional basketball players’ early morning practices.
