Mr. Flynn graduated with distinction from the University of Guelph’s B.A. psychology program in 2015. During the last years of his undergraduate degree he became interested in cognition and cognitive neuroscience. Whenever possible he directed his independent coursework towards memory, taking a particular interest in visual working memory. After graduating he began volunteering with Sunnybrook’s anesthesia research department with an interest in assisting with the COGNIGRAM pilot trial. This presented an opportunity for him to get more involved with research in an area of personal interest, but would also provide a look into the process of clinical research. He has been with the department as a full time research assistant since August of 2016, and continues to develop a broadening understanding and appreciation for clinical research in anesthesia.
